Since version 2.5, a Macintosh player application has been available for SuperCard. The SuperCard Player allows developers who do not wish to distribute standalones (and the additional overhead they carry with them) the option of distributing a Player application that works for all projects. In the past, a third-party player, SCPlayer, was being distributed by Fourth World as freeware. Now that SuperCard has an official player application, Fourth World's SCPlayer is not longer being updated, and developers are encouraged to use the official SuperCard Player.
