28. Ivan Tubiahlon
Ivan Tubiyahlon, the movie star of the 30's and a favorite of -- *you* know, *him* -- was seen at Triy Zhuravliy (The Three Cranes) taking lunch. Seeing a movie star at Triy Zhuravliy is not astonishing, but seeing Ivan Tubiahlon anywhere is, for he is so notorious a recluse that many assumed that he was dead. That he has reappeared in a public is certainly significant, though the significance is debated. The most astute observers, however, look to the beet collectives of Tajikistan for ominous developments, and are stocking up on soap.
