Fourth World Releases ListMaster 2.0
Upgrade Features Enhanced Redraw Speed and Many New Features
LOS ANGELES, May 30, 1997 - Fourth World(TM) began shipping ListMaster 2.0, a major upgrade to its popular XFCN enhancement for SuperCard 3.0.
ListMaster provides a wide variety of enhancements for displaying list objects in SuperCard, the multimedia authoring system from Allegiant Technologies, Inc. ListMaster 1.0 provided the ability to display multi-column lists, with additional options for displaying icons, pictures, and patterns in list cells, allowed control over the appearance of separator lines, and provided support for re-ordering list rows by dragging.

New features of ListMaster 2.0 include:
• Significantly enhanced performance, speeding up screen redraws
several times faster than previous versions.
• Number formatting displays numeric data with commas, as
currency, percents, ledger entry, scientific notation, etc.
• Date formatting displays seconds as dates in regular SuperCard
formats (for easy sorting of lists by date)
• Colored Backgrounds with the option of alternating colors
• Truncation can now be set to occur at end or in middle, or the cell
text may be squeezed to fit instead (settable by column)
• Hilite Color can be set for each list (inverting or non-inverting), or disabled
• Auto-Resize Columns adjust themselves if field width changes
• Item Flash calls out lines to the user without affecting hilitedLines
"ListMaster 2.0 implements more than twice as many features as version 1.0 in half the memory footprint, and averages two to five times faster in normal operation," says ListMaster's author, Mark Lucas of Wetware, Inc. "It is also more robust and easier to use. If that's not enough, I've thrown in free a configurable hierarchical Finder-like file browser list and a control panel (i.e., titled icon) list."
Special Limited Time Offer: Array XFCN Beta Free!
For a limited time ListMaster 2.0 also includes a free, fully-functional beta of what is probably the fastest and most powerful array XFCN available. This external allows ListMaster to display lists of practically unlimited size and supports lightning-fast searches, multi-key sorts, and even lookups into secondary tables. When the array external begins shipping as a final product version this free offer will be discontinued, but early purchasers of ListMaster 2.0 with Array beta XFCN will receive the release version of the Array XFCN free.
ListMaster 2.0 is available directly from Fourth World for US$99. Registered owners of ListMaster 1.0 can upgrade to the new version for only US$39. ListMaster 2.0 requires SuperCard 3.0 or higher.
