What Are the Terms of the Fourth World Public License?
You can read the Fourth World Public License at http://www.fourthworld.com/4wpl.html
We tried to come up with the most flexible licensing terms which meet all of these criteria:
- allows the greatest freedoms practical for all concerned
- protects the integrity of the standard code base for these tools
- allows for use in commercial products and client projects without complicating developers' lives
- encourages sharing of modifications into a central code pool
While we've made every effort to strike what we feel is the right balance for these objectives, your feedback is essential to ensure that this evolving process is enhanced to better serve the needs of the developer community.
Please send feedback regarding the Fourth World Public License to 4WPL@FourthWorld.com.

Why Are You Doing This?
Because it's fun.
Mark Lucas and I formed our working relationship around a mutual desire to meet cool people doing interesting work by providing tools for them. The Open Source distribution model has proven a great option in many circumstances, and in our case it seems an excellent fit. In creating the Fourth World Open Source Alliance we can help coordinate activities among an unlimited number of developers, improving the code and having a great time along the way.

What Will Fourth World Be Doing Instead of Selling SuperCard Tools?
We'll be doing what we've always been doing: designing and developing useful software applications.
